Board of Directors – HAPI Foundation

The ownership and management of the HAPI Foundation Trust Fund is governed by a Board of Directors who are committed to Sidney Colen’s vision of a place where the pursuit of peace and learning can be enhanced and enjoyed.

Sholom Park seeks to become a model of land stewardship and the preservation of open space for education and public enjoyment.  Located in Ocala, Florida, the property offers an opportunity for environmental research and education, and it is developing programs to fulfill its two primary objectives:

  1. Advance the practice of environmental planning, horticulture, landscape architecture and the stewardship of natural resources through professional planning and maintenance; and
  2. Provide a beautiful place, similar to the “gymnasiums” and “academies” of ancient Greece, where visitors can pursue personal and group learning opportunities to find a new purpose and meaning in life through public programs, school activities and family recreation.
